Why prism.observer
There are so many great sources out there, and far more information than anyone can keep up with. I think the answer is to make it visible: when you can see news as a landscape, you understand it faster.
I follow AI and tech closely, and I built this for myself first, and hopefully for you too. It starts with what is happening on Hacker News, and trending GitHub repositories are next.
News usually arrives without its history. prism.observer links stories to the topics and stories that came before, with tags and context, so you can see how something developed.
It is also a project I enjoy: building with AI makes it possible to visualize data in ways that were too much work not long ago.
Today the page looks the same for everyone. Over time it becomes yours: what you have already seen fades away, and what you liked stays.
I hope you enjoy using it.
Standing on the shoulders of giants
prism.observer only exists because of other people's work. Thank you to everyone who writes, builds and shares the stories and projects this site points to. Thank you to the open source community whose tools it is built with. And thank you to the AI models that have become remarkably good.
I started building for the web back when Netscape Navigator was new and <blink> was a feature. A site like this would have been out of reach for me then. Today I build it with several AI agents working in parallel, across different models, with CI/CD pipelines checking every step, and I talk to the software while it takes shape. I still find that fascinating.

This is an early preview. The landscape, timeline, radar, lineage and list views are being designed and arrive one after another. The site is read-only: original posts and discussions open on their own sites.
